In a competitive section of the App Store, this developer's goal was to rank higher for the top keywords in the category. The ASO Project identitfied two specific keywords that were driving a majority of organic installs. Our optimizations focused on those keywords specific keywords, and you're able to see the results below. The category this app is in contains some large developers with big budgets, so it's crucial to obtain the maximum amount of organic exposure. Through very targeted, specified optimizations we were able to raise the rank for the two most important keywords.
Our client's main keyword was dominated by a 4 year old app owned by a publicly traded company, with over 1 million installs and has held the #1 position for over a year. Our client is a 7 month old startup company, and their app had only 20,000 total installs at the time we began link building. By researching the competitor, we learned their link building efforts were "passive" as opposed to our "active" approach. By aggressively building high quality links, we were able to pass their top competitor and achieve the #1 position within 45 days of beginning our campaign. This app was a specific niche adventure app that was only a few months old. The client's goal was to drive more traffic to it's app page organically and continue to convert users at over 10%. The app was not well-known and hadn't been in the Play Store for very long. This can be challenging for effective ASO, so we went with a very robust ASO strategy in order to help the app index and rank for keywords. The strategy for this app included link building, text modifications, short description split testing and a new header image. By performing all of these services, we saw almost double the organic page views, and a 2.2% increase in conversions. This was only the first optimization, and there are many more tests planned, and additional optimizations to be made.
This client had an app with over 1 million installs on Google Play, and is a globally recognizable brand. They came to The ASO Project in order to increase their overall ASO efforts and build their organic install numbers. The category of this app naturally has a lot of fluctuation in rankings, and a ton of competition. The goal was to stabilize rankings and maximize organic exposure on a consistent basis. Focusing initially on the text elements (title, short description and long description), we were able to write ASO-friendly, and high-converting content. The app was from a large Casino publisher in the App Store and Play Store. They had far less success in the Amazon App Store, and came to The ASO Project for help. The process for optimizing apps in the Amazon App Store is very different than the Apple App Store and Play Store. Approaching this app in the Amazon store, we utilized our unique knowledge of Amazon's algorithm and implemented strategies we knew were effective. We focused on text elements in the initial optimization. Implementing an Amazon-specific optimization was the first piece of this process. Amazon has elements completely unique to it's App Store, and it's crucial to approach the optimization completely differently than iOS and Android. With our knowledge of the Amazon algorithm, we were able to show a strong increase in organic installs in a short amount of time.
