Launching yesterday (7\/31), you can find those new insights in your developer console now. Here\u2019s some tips to help you read all the new data you just gained.<\/p>\n<h2><b>New Install and Uninstall insights<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Now you can check our your user acquisition and loss in an even more detailed way. The new Console update allows you to generate reports based by user or device. Google has also started taking more detailed data on install methods. This means you can see how many of your installs come from things like pre-installs or peer-to-peer sharing.<\/p>\n<p>You can also compare how many of your installs are coming from new or returning users. Before, we had an estimate of how many of our daily downloads were from returning users. Now, you can see a definitive number for this metric. Google has also reorganized how you find these metrics. Check out their \u201ccheatsheet\u201d below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1875 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.33.06-969x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"1014\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.33.06-969x1024.png 969w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.33.06-284x300.png 284w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.33.06-768x812.png 768w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.33.06.png 1404w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>Reports and charts galore<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Google is introducing \u201cChange analysis charts\u201d that will show you the largest changes in a selected time period. This allows developers to more easily see what\u2019s happening in your metrics. The Change analysis charts highlight the largest contributors to your metric trends so you can immediately see what\u2019s happening with your app and why.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Play Console will allow you to save reports so that you can easily configure specific reports and retrieve them when necessary. Configure your metrics once, save the report and easily pull it back up whenever you want to check your data for any time frame. Through the new \u201csuggested reports\u201d feature, Google will recommend different data metrics that you can add to your reports in order to get deeper analysis.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1876 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.49.02-1024x646.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"606\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.49.02-1024x646.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.49.02-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.49.02-768x485.png 768w, https:\/\/www.theasoproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screenshot-2019-08-01-13.49.02.png 1182w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All of your old data is still available from pre-July 2019, though your workflow might look a bit different in the Play Console. The \u201ccheatsheet\u201d from above will help you find where all of your favorite metrics are now stored. Don\u2019t forget that you can now save reports to easily pull up metrics that you like to check!
